COBANA Boat

Excursion to Amasra (435 km / 6.5 hrs from İstanbul), following the Symposium, aims to offer the opportunity to visit workshops in Tekkeönü and Kurucaşile in the Black Sea Region that still continue the traditional art of shipbuilding. Participants will be able to learn about these methods directly from the local shipbuilders. The Wooden and Yacht Technical High School in Kurucaşile, Amasra Castle and the Archaeological Museum are among the local sites included on the itinerary. Transportation, accommodations, meals and museum entrance fees are included in the excursion price.

We will offer the choice of two buses for the return. One will take the participants directly to down town İstanbul, while the other will go to the Atatürk International Airport. Those who plan a same day departure from İstanbul, should book their flights no earlier than 10:00 PM. Kindly inform the organizers of your choice prior to departure.
