Building of 2 CsB.42 model sailboats was commenced using the composite system. The first one named “Arsima” has been fitted out and launched.

The most important feature of CsB-42 is brightness. The living spaces from the rear well deck to the deck head cabin allow easy movement between each other and all receive great light. Visual angle of the Deck saloon is notably wide. The kitchen is illuminated from the prominent front windows of the deck saloon. A great number of hatches ensure good lighting and ventilation. The lower stern cabin is wider and deeper compared to the similar and other 42-feet boats. On the poop deck, a wide space is left for both sailing and cruising with two steering systems. Both boats have deck head and lower stern cabins with WC and shower. Each boat can accommodate up to 7 persons with surprise beds including a singled bed opposite the Kitchen and a double bed in the Saloon.

The CsB-42 boats are built frameless in the composite system by Stip Plank method. Bulkheads and cabins are made of Marine plywood, and cabin top, cockpit and deck are made of COROSEL light foam and TEAK. Sipo-Mahogany Furniture and Wooden deck spaces are coated with ultraviolet- and heat-resistant Epoxy-filled Polyurethane Varnish.

The whole boat is coated with E-glass and Kevlar following FIBRE reinforcements which distribute the Centerboard and Mast forces to the body. The Body is Epoxy primed followed by Awlgrip painting.

With respect to the body form, CsB-42 has thoroughly modern waterlines. The underwater structure is designed in U-section and its derivatives; and equipped with a modern centerboard and elliptical skeg rudder. The centerboard of the boat is designed in NACA wing section in order to lower the center of gravity appropriately and counterbalance the pitching movements. The floors are multilayer laminated with large sizes in order to spread the forces created by this form of centerboard to the body. In addition, the loads are transferred by a stainless metal construction to the bulkheads and body.

CsB-42 is equipped with a SELDEN mast, Harken upper deck hardware, and a Sail Drive diesel Engine with a power range of 55 to 75 hp and Bow thruster, as well as Polyethylene and Polypropylene tanks.
